Solution to the previous puzzle:
- e … hamper (e/he/her/hare/harem/hamper)
- o … erosion (o/so/son/ones/snore/sooner/erosion)
Other answers were possible.
New Puzzle:
Since the last puzzle was so much fun, I thought we would try the same thing again! Remember, just add one letter at a time to make a new word:
Example: a ... adios
Answer: a/as/sad/dais/adios
- o … honor
- i … detail
- i … elation
*Note, the first person with the correct answer gets the bonus point.

I'll give the points to krisla for a great effort -- even though "le" is not really an English word (as far as I know).
"Etalon" is a new one for me:
an interferometer consisting of two glass plates that reflect approximately half of each ray of light incident upon them and that are separated by a small, fixed distance: used to compare wavelengths and to study atomic spectra.
