*SENTENCE COMBINATION*
Learning to combine ideas into more complex sentences is an important writing skill. There are many ways to do this. Try to combine the following three sentences.
Sentence 1: Stores are now getting ready for Valentine’s
Day.
Sentence 2: Christmas decorations are finally being taken
down.
Sentence 3: No sooner is one festival over than the next one
begins.

Stores are now getting ready for Valentine’s Day, the Christmas decorations are finally being taken down; no sooner is one festival over than the next one begins.
No sooner is one festival over than the next one begins: Christmas decorations are finally being taken down and stores are now getting ready for Valentine's Day.
Stores are now getting ready for Valentine's Day so the Christmas decorations are finally being taken down; indeed, no sooner is one festival over than the next one begins.
Christmas decorations are finally being taken down, no sooner is one festival over than the next one begins as stores are now getting ready for Valentine's Day.
Because no sooner is one festival over than the next one begins, stores are now getting ready for Valentine´s Day, so Christmas decorations are finally being taken down.
Christmas decorations are finally being taken down as the stores are now getting ready for Valentine's Day; it's funny that no sooner is one festival over than the next one begins.
Aliocha, Jefferson and Yosua, watch out for the comma splice.
Sophia, I had the same idea!
Eugenie and Andrew, I like your answers; but I think the semi-colon allows you to avoid the real challenge of the exercise. Next time, see if you can do without it!

Some excellent attempts here!
