Even though we have been waiting for the delivery all day, we still don't know if its on its way, or whether the package will be shipped tomorrow and arrive then.

This was a really tough exercise, but you almost got it. Note, however, that you didn't include a dependent clause at the end.
Here is a possibility:
Even though I have worked hard all my life and I save as much money as I can, I will never be able to retire unless I win the lottery!
