*ACTIVE vs. PASSIVE*

Write two sentences using the word do.

In the first sentence, use the verb in the active voice; in the second sentence, use it in the passive voice.

Active: Rob did the morning announcements at school.
Passive: The morning announcements at school were done by Rob.

My father was burnt out from cutting wood.

By cutting wood my father was burnt out.

The top sentence is the Active Voice, and this should be used for formal writing.

Roland, you were supposed to use the word "do", not "burnt out". And both of your sentences are in the passive voice.
