*SENTENCE COMBINATION*

Learning to combine ideas into more complex sentences is an important writing skill. There are many ways to do this. Try to combine the following three sentences.

Sentence 1: The world is uncertain.
Sentence 2: In this world, we cannot cannot know what the future will bring.
Sentence 3: We must be prepared for any eventuality.

In this world, we cannot know what the future will bring because the world is uncertain; therefore, we must be prepared for any eventuality.

In this world, we cannot know what the future will bring so we must be prepared for any eventuality as the world is uncertain.

The world is uncertain, and in this world, we cannot know what the future will bring for we must be prepared for any eventuality.

Good try, everyone, but Jeferson, I'm not sure that "for" works in your sentence.

And I think there is a simpler solution.

The trick here is to see that "The world is uncertain" can be made into a modifier; then the rest falls into place:

In this uncertain world, we cannot cannot know what the future will bring, so we must be prepared for any eventuality.
