2.dependent clause.
April showers bring May flowers to announce the arrival of spring.

3.independent clause.
"April showers bring May flowers" means that gardens and countrysides will now sprinkle with colour.

2. When the weather warms up, April showers bring May flowers.
3. April showers bring May flowers and everyone can smell the fresh fragrance of spring.

Good try, Annie. But I don't "the long awaited" is a phrase. Also, I don't think your third sentence has a dependent clause.
