Unfortunately, some of you missed the part of the instructions that said not to use a semi-colon!

Janet, your first sentence does not include a phrase, and your third sentence should not include a semi-colon before the conjunction.

Caitlin, your first sentence, like Janet's, does not include a phrase, and your third sentence includes a dependent clause.
