ACTIVE & PASSIVE, Jan. 3rd, 2013



Use the verb with the base form of talk in two different sentences. Sentence 1 should be in the active voice; sentence 2 should reword the sentence to the passive voice.

1. Active Voice

Susan talks constantly about the concert.

2. Passive Voice

The concert was talked about constantly by Susan.

The little boy talks about his first
day at kindergarten.
(Active voice)

The first day at kindergarten was talked about by the little boy.
(Passive voice)

JENNIFER:The first sentence is good, but the second sentence is still active voice--it's just in the simple past;-)
