*ACTIVE vs. PASSIVE*

Write two sentences using the word ring.

In the first sentence, use the verb in the active voice; in the second sentence, use it in the passive voice.

ACTIVE: The ring of the phone is loud.

PASSIVE: Every time someone calls me, I find that my phone rings loud.

Roland: you have used "ring" as a noun, not a verb.

Madicynn, your second sentence uses the present perfect -- and, Alexandra, yours uses the present perfect continuous -- rather than the passive.

And now I realize I have been calling Yosua "Yousa". I apologize for that!
