*ACTIVE vs. PASSIVE*

Write two sentences using the verb embarrass.

In the first sentence, use the word in the active voice; in the second sentence, use it in the passive voice.

She was embarrassed by the stain on her shirt. (Active)

Passive: Alice was embarrassed by Frank.

He was embarrassed by his inability to understand the language.( Active)
