Vocabulary building is important for both reading comprehension and writing. 

Use the following two words in one sentence (note the parts of speech).

excoriate (verb) and disparage (verb).

Parents should avoid excoriating their children's performances, because this could lead to the situation in which they might have disparaged their achievements of any sort later on in their life.
